problems with meter quality:


I've placed numerous orders for these compact LED panel meters. Most of the time they've been okay, but there
have been a couple times I've received defective products. One time I bought a batch of green meters and had
them installed before testing, only to discover they were MUCH dimmer than they should be. They were drawing
about the same current as good meters, so I don't know what was up with that. I ended up having to pull them
out of the combiners (they were hot-glued in, so it wasn't fun) and replace them with better meters.

The other time I bought a batch of 10 and half of them looked like they'd been too close to an open flame, the
plastic housings looked like they had melted like ice creme. And when I hooked them up to power, several
of them immediately let out their Magic Smoke.

So these meters can be a mixed bag. Until you find a quality seller, shop around and buy small quantities of
meters to test them out before committing to buying a lot of them.
